Description
Sokoni Africa Limited is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Chef to join our culinary operations team. As a Production Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking large quantities of food in accordance with the standards and specifications set by our establishment. Your efficiency and attention to detail will ensure the smooth running of our kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
• Working on mass production as per orders in line with the established recipes and portion sizes
• Ensure production is of a high quality standards and in a timely manner
• Assist in menu planning and develop daily production schedules
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
• Monitor food inventory, ensuring proper stock levels and minimizing waste
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure efficient operations is achieved
• Follow HACCP regulations
• Follow SOPs and policies as stipulated
• Maintain a high level of records keeping
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain food safety standards
Requirements
• Culinary degree or relevant certification in cooking or food production
• Proven experience as a Production Chef or in a similar role, especially in mass production
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
