The company is desirous of recruiting a Medical Officer responsible for performing general and specialized medical duties such as diagnosis and treatment of disease and injury, ordering and interpreting medical tests, performing routine medical and surgical procedures, referring patients to other practitioners and managing health departments, institutions, projects

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Treats and ensures proper management of patients.
• Refers complicated cases to the Senior Clinical Officer.
• In-charge of overseeing process of clients and patients, triage and providing holistic individualized nursing care.
• Liaises with other cadres in the unit in the delivery of quality health care to patients.
• Participates in the implementation of primary health care activities like staff rules and patient policies.
• Takes part in the implementation of primary health care and research activities.
• Participate in the collection of health data.
• Participating in management of pre-operative and postoperative patients.
• Stepping in during emergencies, providing emergency resuscitations and liaising with medical team.
• Develop and implement plans and policies for city medicals Hoima in liaison with the Management.
• Supervise medical staff team, liaising with other non-Medical staff in the facility to ensure quality treatment for the benefit the patients
• Ensure that the clinical team is supported in their clinical activities and are provided with timely, consistent and accurate medical information.
• Take charge of quality assurance of all processes and procedures and as a result of overall in charge of clinic equipment and patient handling
• Promoting and organizing CMEs in conjunction with other health personnel
• Representing the facility and directors at official events as may be required.
• Oversees and manages the health facility’s medical operations, efficiently and effectively delivering patient-centered, holistic, and compassionate health care.
• Performs clinical supervision of medical staff, including regular performance appraisals and feedback to staff.
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

• Organize 2 CMEs every month
• At least 100 out patients per day
• 100 ultra sound scans/ECGs per month

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of a degree in medicine, Surgery or any related disciplines
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in similar position in a busy organization preferably a hospital.
• Proficient computer and medical software usage like MS Word, MS Excel.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Honest and Trustworthy.
• Strong Leadership Skills
• Valid Medical Practicing Licence
• Adheres to professional code of conduct and ethics
