The key purpose of this role is to ensure supply security at the best price and payment terms for the Logistics function. The individual needs to align the country’s procurement plans to the Zone Procurement strategy ensuring logistics spend and Champions initiatives are within budget. The position will work closely with the BU logistics teams, suppliers and relevant stakeholders.
Key Outputs and Responsibilities:
• Category strategy implementation
• Category risk assessments
• Sourcing new suppliers
• Tender management support – To be done @ Zone
• Supplier query and dispute resolution
• Contracting implementation and compliance
• Supplier relationship management, SLA’s and Performance tracking
• Local legal requirements – for Tenders
• Ensuring accurate sizing vs capacity availability at budget cost
• Category spend vs budget tracking (monthly Price vs budget and Champions tracking)
• Opportunity identification for closing cost/price gaps
• Monthly rate card adjustments
• Continuous improvement – Innovation & value engineering
Weekly & Monthly Process include, but are not limited to :
• Dedicated carrier productivity meetings
• 3PL Meetings – Measuring supplier performance and truck avail
• RPSS meeting (Supplier recons, PR, PO processes, retroactive, supplier creation, etc) – SLA compliance
• Logistics Leadership meeting
• Logistics Execution
• Plant/DC Alignment – Logs and Supply
• Zone Logistics Procurement – (Report template, Action log, etc)

Minimum Requirements:
• Degree in business or related field.
• 3 -5 years prior related position experience required.
• Advanced Computer skills (MS Office, Financial systems and knowledge would be an added advantage).
• End to end SAP experience.
• Strong sourcing/procurement related processes
