UGANDA COVID-19 RESPONSE AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PROJECT (UCREPP)
INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)
The Goverment of Uganda represented by the Ministry of Health received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Uganda COVID-19 Response and Emergency Preparedness Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing, User Training and Commissioning of Assorted High Dependency Unit Medical Equipment for Hoima, Gulu, Yumbe and Arua Regional Referral Hospitals.
The Ministry of Health now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing, User Training and Commissioning of Assorted High Dependency Unit Medical Equipment for Hoima, Gulu, Yumbe and Arua Regional Referral Hospitals.
Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers January 2011 revised July 2014 (Procurement Guidelines), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict
of interest.
Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Ministry of Health and inspect the bidding document during office hours from 09:00AM to 04:00PM
at the address below.

The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon submission of a written application to the address in 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 200,000 (Uganda Shillings Two Hundred Thousand). The method of payment will be by cash deposit to Diamond Trust Bank onto the Health- NTR Account Number 000140168000001. The document will be collected from MoH Procurement Offices upon presentation of proof of payment.
Bids must be delivered to the address in 4 above at or before March 21, 2024 at 11:00AM (Local Time). Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected.
Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address in 4 above on March 21, 2024 at 11:15AM
All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of UGX 18,000,000 (Uganda Shillings Eighteen Million Only), or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
