Job Summary
The Human Resources coordinator will support the Human resource department and work with the Hr manager to coordinate the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs within the organization.

The Human Resources Coordinator supports human resource practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented; high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards; goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

He / She shall work with a team of other line managers and heads of departments to promote the excellent standards in the organization. He/ she shall promote employee welfare and ensure that all the human resource is well motivated at all times. The goal: Coordinate and guide the HR department in execution of high level strategies, oversee processes by reviewing and assessing policies and ensuring that they are in line with the Uganda Employment Act and NA policies.

The Primary Objectives of the Human Resources Coordinator is to ensure the following

● Human Resource Planning, Resourcing and Engagement
● Development of HR Capacity and Capability of staff
● Maintain record of Compensation and Benefits
● Prepare for Performance Management
● Ensure workplace Healthy and safety
● Employee Relations
● Separation/Exit Management
● To ensure Nurture Africa is compliant with employment act and company related law
● To ensure all human resource processes are documented according to what is required to adhere to the employment act
● To ensure Nurture Africa’s Human resource policy is in line with the employment act and current human resource best practices
● To ensure staff recruitment, orientation, performance management and exit is documented correctly and is in line with employment law

Role Description
Nurture Africa is seeking a full-time Human Resource Coordinator to work on-site at our office in Nansana. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the HR manager in managing and coordinating various human resources functions, including but not limited to hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluation, and employee relations. You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating employee records, as well as ensuring that all HR policies and procedures are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of HR experience, with a proven track record of successful performance in HR coordination or a similar role
• Excellent understanding of HR policies and procedures, as well as employment laws and regulations
• Experience in recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee relations
• Ability to work collaboratively with others and to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with HRIS and other HR-related software is a plus
