JOB DETAILS:
Field Sales Technicians are responsible for sales, surveys, installation and maintenance of solar powered irrigation solutions and accessories. They coordinate with the Sales Team Leads, Engineering Team Leads, Supply Chain Associate as well as clients and their representatives.

Responsibilities
Technical (70%)
• Perform onsite technical surveys to determine product fit as per communicated turnaround times
• Install solar powered irrigation systems to the highest standard and as per communicated turnaround times
• Check and provide complete post-installation documentation to clients, including warranty cards and sales agreements
• Perform varying corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance for solar PV systems by diagnosing service cases to inform repair / troubleshooting steps in a timely fashion, applying root cause analysis techniques on all major and recurring faults
• Train clients and/or their representatives on the components, operation, handling and basic maintenance of the solar powered irrigation systems as well as warranty terms and conditions and sales agreements
• Adhere to budgets, turnaround times and safety processes and procedures
• Submit technical reports as per communicated turnaround times

Sales (15%)
• Apply sales and marketing channels to generate viable sales leads as per communicated targets
• Recommend products to clients based on product fit assessments
• Follow-up leads to convert new sales as per communicated targets
• Follow up with clients to ensure they make payments for their purchase to the designated company accounts
• Facilitate dispatch and delivery of solar powered irrigation systems to clients
• Adhere to sales processes, procedures and reporting structures

Customer Service (15%)
• Coordinate with the client to schedule site visits
• Ensure clients are prepared ahead of site visits, including facilitating delivery of their systems and supporting installation preparedness
• Interact with customers on a professional level to ensure high customer satisfaction and experience
• Adhere to high service standards and customer support protocols

Requirements
• 2+ years of solar technical experience
• Diploma in the Engineering field
• Ability to work on rooftops and heights
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 35 kgs
• Willing to travel regularly including at nights
• Demonstrated experience in delivering superior customer service
• Able to read and interpret technical content, including diagrams and schematics
• Access to a smart phone with experience in applying online applications and tools for learning / training, communication and reporting
• Demonstrated experience in the installation and maintenance of solar powered irrigation systems, including fault location and diagnostics is an advantage
• Experience in technical sales and willingness to learn and apply new sales techniques is an advantage
