Job Summary:
Executive drivers are responsible for transporting people and/or goods in a safe, timely manner. They may drive luxury vehicles or commercial trucks, but their job is to ensure that everyone arrives at their destination safely and on time.
Executive drivers must be able to multitask effectively while driving. This includes everything from handling phone calls and emails to keeping an eye on the road and responding to any emergencies that might arise.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Providing security for executives and their families, including monitoring their well-being and handling any security threats or issues that arise
• Responsibilities include dropping and picking up staff, collecting various packages, and maintaining a travel log to record work hours, travel- time and locations traveled to.
• Maintaining a vehicle inventory, ordering parts, and arranging for maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours.
• Driving executives to meetings, conferences, social engagements, and other events as requested
• Ensuring that the executive’s schedule is organized effectively to maximize productivity
• Providing assistance with luggage and other items as requested by the executive
• Staying informed about current local events and activities that may be of interest to the executive so that he or she may be informed about community activities and events
• Coordinating with other staff members at the executive’s company to ensure that all requests are handled appropriately
• Assisting with security measures such as checking identification badges at the door of an event or making sure that alarms are set before leaving a building unoccupied
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
• High school qualification or Diploma is preferred
• 4 years of working experience in driving Executive Directors
• Valid driving license
• Clean driving record.
• Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.
• Working knowledge of local roads and routes.
• The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and car manuals.
• Effective communication skills.
• Punctual and reliable preferably a resident of Muyenga or nearby areas.
