INVITATION TO PRE-QUALIFY SUPPLIERS FOR SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF SATISFACTORY SET-BOOKS NOVELS, PLAYS AND POETRY LITERATURE IN ENGLISH SET BOOKS STUDIED AT THE O’ LEVEL; ADVANCED LEVEL SET BOOKS FOR THE FOLLOWING LOCAL LANGUAGES: ATESO, DHOPADHOLA, LEBACOLI, LEBLANGO, LUGANDA, LUGBARATI, LUMASAABA, LUSOGA, RUNYANKORE- RUKIGA AND RUNYORO-RUTOORO AND ‘O’ LEVEL LITERATURE SET BOOKS OF LATIN AND A LEVEL (NOVEL, PLAY AND POETRY) FOR LATIN, GERMAN, FRENCH AND ARABIC FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2025 TO 2029.
National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) is preparing to change the Literature in English set books studied at the O’ Level Advanced Level set books for the following Local Languages: Abeso. Dhopadhola, LebAcoli. Leblango, Luganda, Lugbarati Lumasaaba, Lusoga, Runyankore-Rukiga and Runyoro-Rutoro and O’ Level Literature set books of Latin and A level (Novel. Play and poetry) for Latin, German, French and Arabic for the academic year 2025 to 2029. The NCDC now invites suitably qualified writers and Publishers to submit sealed pre-qualification submissions and set books.
The Bidding document(s) shall be inspected and issued at National Curriculum Development Centre Block A. Room 27.
The cost of the bidding document is Up shs 50,000/= Bidders should submit 3 copies of each title with receipted non-refundable fee of Ug. Sha 400,000/ (Uganda Shillings four hundred thousand only) for both Literature in English and Foreign Languages while Ug ths 100,000/= (One hundred thousand shillings) will be required for Local Language before the closing date and time.
The method of payment will be Via a PRN (Payment Reference Number) obtained from URA.
No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery. Bidders should also note that no liability shall be accepted by NCDC for none inclusion of any or all their titles submitted on the list of set books to be used in Ugandan Secondary Schools Curriculum during the five Academic years (2025-2029) of pre-qualification. The deadline for bid submission shall be at 03:00pm (local time) on Thursday 19 September 2024.
