JOB DETAILS:
Background
Enabel in Uganda is seeking to recruit a dynamic and competent individual to fill the position of Communication Assistant based in Kampala with frequent travels to the Field.

The Communication Assistant will support the implementation of the project communication plans with a focus on results and knowledge management.

Job description
Joining Enabel as a Communication Assistant, you will be directly reporting to the Country Communication Officer and you will perform the following key tasks;
• You support in conducting research including stakeholder analysis and needs assessment to facilitate the development of project communication and knowledge management Strategy.
• You support the implementation of project communication and knowledge management strategy.
• You Support the designing and production of communication materials.
• You support the organizing of high-level events with national and regional representatives from Embassies, Ministries, civil society, labour unions & development actors and private sector etc.
• You coordinate, support and facilitate the communication exchange and meetings between the project team and other stakeholders.

Your profile
• A bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Journalism or any other related field.
• At least 2 years of proven and relevant experience in either communication or advocacy
• Excellent written and spoken English; expressing ideas and opinions clearly in a structured manner that appeals to the reader/listener.
• Multi-media knowledge and skills using web-based communication (content management systems for websites, blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) & audio-visual media.
• Proven photography and video production skills
• Experience in community mobilisation preferably through social behaviour change communication.
