Company Description
Arcadia Suites Hotel Kampala is a luxury boutique hotel located in the upscale area of Kololo along Kira Road near the Uganda Museum and British High Commission. Our hotel features uniquely designed fully furnished suites complete with a spacious living room, equipped kitchenette, and a bedroom with king-sized beds that provide warm and genuine hospitality. Our team is always close at hand to assist our guests in every possible way.
Role Description
• Provide exceptional service and anticipate customer needs.
• Develop methods and systems to improve workflow efficiencies.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of beer, wine spirits, whiskey etc
• Memorize and prepare non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks according to company standards, recipes and policies
• Pour beer and wine accurately and to specific portions
• Accurately complete cash and credit transactions, maintaining accountability for any discrepancies
• Understand and enforce beverage laws, including verifying the age of all guests and controlling the pace of alcohol consumption
• Track and maintain bar stock and inventory
• Adhere to company guidelines and food and beverage regulations
• Deal with difficult customers in a polite yet firm manner
• Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including nights and weekends
Qualifications
• Customer service and Communication skills
• Proficiency in Food & Beverage preparation and service
• Experience in Cash Handling
• Bartending skills, including knowledge of cocktail recipes and techniques
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
• Certification in bartending and/or experience in a similar role is a plus
