JOB DETAILS:
Purpose:
FHI 360 seeks a short-term hire to provide coordination support to USAID MCHN’s technical assistance work in Kampala to strengthen a HMIS data management and reporting in kampala district. The support will be focused on improving HMIS data management and reporting for RMNCAH, Nutrition, Family Planning technical areas.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Support periodic HMIS reporting activities in Kampala district to ensure 100% timely and complete reporting.
• Provide routine collection, aggregation, analysis, and dissemination of HMIS data at division and facility level.
• Support data cleaning and validation activities for HMIS data
• Conduct HMIS mentorships for facility/Unit/department staff on HMIS documentation, aggregation, and reporting during reporting support visits.
• Co-ordinate and participate in the facility-based data review meetings to discuss quality of data submitted in the DHIS2 systems.
• Conduct data harmonization activities between the pre-primary, primary and summary reporting tools.
• Support mini-surveys and assessments like baseline survey, Site mapping, Data quality assessments.
• To support reporting for maternal and perinatal death for the divisions.
• Support delivery of HMIS tools to supported sites during site visits.

Required Experience & Qualifications
• A minimum of a bachelors in Statistics, Social Sciences with a bias in medical records management from a reputable institute.
• 2 years’ experience in conducting HMIS, OVC MIS and Covid data management tasks at facility level
• Experience in the use of DHIS2 system to enter client level data at facility is an added advantage.
• Experience using facility and community data management tools.
• Good numeracy skills, attention to detail and experience with data entry using DHIS2 system.
• Experience in handling collecting, collating, and managing numerical data.
• Data analysis skills
