Data Protection & Privacy Manager job at Centenary Bank
Role:
Responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Data Protection and Privacy Act, regulations thereto, and policy as well as initiating corrective actions to ameliorate the identified deficiencies by among others ensuring that the business and its functions comply with the applicable requirements under the Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 and regulations thereto to include but not limited to conducting staff training, data protection impact assessments, and internal compliance privacy audits.
Key Result Areas:
• To be the focal point for all activity within the bank relating to data protection and privacy
• To develop an in-depth understanding of the data collected, processed, and controlled and its related purpose across the bank network to provide practical advice and guidance to staff on how best to comply with the requirements of the personal data protection regime.
Education and Professional Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with a professional certification in Personal Data protection and privacy e.g., CIPP, CDPSE, etc. and Proficiency in MS Office
Required Experience and Competences:
• Three years exposure in a similar role in a bank or a busy commercial enterprise of which one year was in full service of data protection issues
