Engineering Ministries International (EMI) Uganda is seeking to recruit a Workshop Administrator to join our diverse, multi-disciplinary team in Kajjansi as we seek to partner with God to bring restoration to the world through design and construction. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong desire to walk in step with Jesus, to collaborate, to train and mentor, and have experience in architectural design and project management.
Reports to: Workshop Manager
Required qualifications and experience
• Certificate Level Diploma
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in administrative management activities.
• Computer skills in Microsoft excel and word. Experience with Quickbooks or similar software a plus.
• Experience with bookkeeping and accounting methods.
• Management of data systems for analysis and historical reference
Required basic qualities

• Ability to develop and maintain document files both electronic and hard copy.
• Aptitude for learning and ability to help create data management and tracking systems
• Ability to initiate and complete assignments with minimal supervision
• Ability to collaborate with other disciplines
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Cross-cultural team player
• Desire and ability to mentor and train workshop leadership in cost management.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable invoicing and data entry into quickbooks software.
• Process accounts receivable invoicing and data entry into quickbooks software.
• Generate spreadsheets of historical pricing for materials and supplies
• Reconcile all chart of accounts.
• Produce reports for job cost projections, WIP schedule, P&L Statements, and balance sheets.
• Process purchase agreements and process payment procedures with Workshop Manager
• Process contracts, variation requests, and change orders.
• Process shop drawing submittals and maintain submittal log.
• Update and maintain fab schedule with guidance from Workshop leadership team.
• Take meeting minutes for daily production review meetings.
• Maintain Inventory log of raw materials and assemblies in Quickbooks • Mentor and train workshop workers.
