JOB SUMMARY
The Stock Controller is responsible for stock control and management of inventory in compliance with the inventory management processes and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the Commercial team (Animal feed) to understand product movement and ensure stock levels align with anticipated sales volumes (Animal feed).
• Implement and maintain efficient inventory control procedures, including stock rotation, stock returns from the hubs, first-in-first-out (FIFO) principles, and proper storage practices.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with inventory management policies and procedures.
• Work closely with the production team to oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• Monitor and track slow-moving or obsolete stock and propose appropriate actions to prevent financial losses.
• Generate accurate reports on stock levels, stock movements, and dispatches
• Continuously improve inventory management processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize stock availability.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a busy manufacturing factory.
• The potential candidate must possess good knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices, basic accounting principles and inventory valuation methods.
• In addition, the ideal candidate must have proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
• The potential candidate must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve inventory-related issues; pay attention to detail and accuracy in performing stock counts and reconciliations, and exhibit excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Furthermore, he or she must have good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with other teams; have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and also have the ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
