Sales And Distribution Drivers at Teju
Duties, Responsibilities, and Requisite skills:
Sales and Distribution Drivers shall sell and or deliver company goods and merchandise directly from their company van or truck within the Region of interest.
Accountabilities:
Accountabilities shall include among others:
• Identifying new sales opportunities,
• Informing regular customers of new products.
• Achievement and or meeting sales and delivery targets.
• Ability to delivery customer orders and collection of payments. Keeping all sales and delivery records.
• Ensuring proper maintenance of the company vehicle.
• Identification recruitment and retention of new potential customers in the assigned area.
Core Additional Requirements:
• Possession of a clean driving permit with Class CM and DL
• Demonstrated and excellent track record of a minimum of five years as a driver/salesman in a FMCG business set up.
Industry Knowledge
Must have worked in the Area of Interest for a minimum of three years as a Driver Salesman.
Market Knowledge
MUST understand and be able to communicate in languages commensurate to the Area of Interest.

Sales and Distribution Drivers Roles and Responsibilities:
• Driving a truck while making deliveries and or selling products to customers.
• Delivering purchase orders and informing existing customers of any new products and offers.
• Increasing sales by promoting products and providing feedback about competitor behavior.
• Accounting for the safe and timely delivery of purchased products. Maintaining sales and delivery records, as well as meeting sales and delivery targets.
• Preventing damage to the delivery truck and the company products in transit.
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the interior and the exterior of the truck. Performing basic truck maintenance tasks, such as checking tyre pressure, gas and oil levels.
Sales and Distribution Drivers Requirements:
• UACE certificate with at least a principal pass or its equivalent
• A diploma in marketing shall be an added advantage
• 5year experience as a Driver salesman in FMCG set up. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Exceptional ability in meeting sales and delivery targets.
• Extensive experience in identifying, recruitment and retention of new customers and opening new markets.
• Ability to assume responsibility for the delivery truck and the products therein.
• Experience in recordkeeping and use of sales and stock documents.
• Working knowledge of basic truck maintenance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
