REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE DESIGN AND SUPERVISION OF REHABILITATION WORKS FOR 06No. (SIX) PREDOMINANTLY SOLAR POWERED WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS IN REFUGEE HOSTING DISTRICTS OF TEREGO, MADI-OKOLLO AND YUMBE. The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is currently implementing its project Water Supply and Sanitation for Refugee Settlements and Host Communities in Northern Uganda (WatSSUP) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economi Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in Uganda. As part of this Project, GIZ intends to pre-quality consultancy firms to carry out design and supervision of Rehabilitation works on Water Supply Systems as below
Design and Supervision of the rehabilitation works for No. (Six) predominantly Solar powered Water Supply Systems (WSS) in the Refugee hosting districts of Terego, Madi-Okollo and Yumbe in West Nile, Uganda
The scope of the proposed works of the WSS will include the following:
• Design of the proposed rehabilitation works for the Water Supply
• Supervision of the proposed rehabilitation Works for the Water Supply Systems
The Tender procedure from invitation to tender until signing of contract expected to take place between March 2024 and May 2024
The consultancy services are expected to be performed and completed within approximately 12 months from signing of contract Accordingly.
GIZ invites interested and qualified Engineering Consultancy firms to express their interest by furnishing GIZ Uganda Country Office with the following mandatory requirements, information and documents for eligibility assessment
• Official letter expressing interest
• Company details including full company name, full address, phone and email.
• Copy of company registration certificate Certificate of Incorporation/ Registration (Evidence of commercial register entry).
• In case of bidding consortia: Declaration by consortium members and provide evidence of contract and nomination of consortium leader, in case there is a consortium agreement to fulfil the tender package.
• Possession of copy of valid license Membership Certificate license of registration from the Uganda Association of Consulting Engineers
• Company profile including number of employees (permanent/ temporary in total) and number of professional staff qualified to perform the works
• The company should have at least 6No. persons each working for the firm for the last three (3) years as of 31.12.2023
• The bidder should have operational offices in Uganda.
• References indicating 5 years general experience in construction supervision of water supply systems.
• Evidence of Three (3) projects in the last 3 years covering supervision of construction or rehabilitation of solar powered water supply k) Evidence of One (1) of the three (3) reference projects mentioned above should have been executed in Uganda or a country in Eastern Africa
• The technical assessment is only based on reference projects with a minimum commission value of 50,000 Euros (UGX 207 million).
• Average annual turnover for the last three (3) financial years should be at least 300,000 Euros (UGX860 million).
• Experiences in design & Supervision of construction/Rehabilitation related projects implemented in refugee hosting area in the last 5 years.

Kindly note that complete tender documents will be sent to all companies that will be assessed as eligible by GIZ based on the information and documents submitted as specified above.
Failure to indicate the tender reference number in the subject may disqualify your offer directly as it may fail to be received in the tender box.
