Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages Africa [CCBA] is the largest African Coca-Cola Bottler, accounting for 40% of all Coca-Cola volumes on the continent. Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda Limited is a subsidiary of CCBA. we are currently seeking to recruit Process Operators, based at our Mbarara and Kampala Plants.
As Process Operator, you will report directly to the Team Leader – Packaging.
Key Purpose Statement
The primary role of a Process Operator is the operation of the process equipment according to work instructions, execution of quality checks, carrying out autonomous maintenance, and ensuring equipment reliability through carrying out daily PIMS and POMs.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Operating the process equipment according to the work instructions and adhering to usage standards.
• Carrying out the required quality checks as described in the quality control and analysis work practice.
• Recording waste on the appropriate documentation or information systems and reviewing waste trends to identify and resolving problems or opportunities timeously.
• Constantly reviewing process performance against target and completing all short interval control documentation and FLOW reports.
• Responding rapidly to upstream or downstream triggers that result in stoppages.
• Performing housekeeping tasks, applying 5S principles and following safe work practices.
• Carrying out WCM practices.
• Conduct breakdown maintenance tasks.
• Recording the results of quality checks on the relevant documentation or information system. The references to the required documentation or information system are contained in the quality procedures.
• Participate in food safety management system implementation.
• Report food safety, defence and fraud related issues to food safety team leader designate (SHEQ) manager.
Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications
Minimum requirement:
• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience
• Minimum of two years relevant experience in FMCGs and adequate experience in machine operation.
Competencies
• Ability to work in teams.
• Understanding of application of WCM foundational practices
• Troubleshooting skills & computer knowledge
• Quality control practices and principles
• Bottling principles and processes
• Understanding of SHE policies and procedures
