Occupational Health and Safety Officer (with Construction Experience) job at Lafab Solutions

Background
Our client, an International Construction and Engineering Company is looking for a competent Occupational Health and Safety Officer to join its dynamic team.
You should have worked in the construction industry for at least 2 years

Tasks and Responsibilities
• Engagement with workers on occupational Health and safety
• Follow up on the safety requirements during the work
• Follow-up on the implementation of the traffic management plan (Analyzing the accident scene for the root cause at Km, following up on the required safety requirements for traffic accommodation
• Awareness campaign in preparation for blasting and inspection of Contractors ’blasting activity.
• Inspection of active sites on dust suppression
• Compilation of performance tracker
• Road safety inspection and identifying of spots with no required signage
• Review the contractor submissions
• Drafting of the NCR
• Preparation of Quarterly report and monthly progress report.
• Accident investigation and analysis
• Follow up on PPE usage in the active section
• Inspection of Contractors’ signage for blocking access to the quarry site during blasting.
• Follow-up on the contractor’s implementation of the approved TMP and OSH plan in all sections and camps.
• Draft response letters to relevant correspondences
• Interact with relevant Stakeholders and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards and laws.

Education
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, such as mechanical engineering or occupational safety and health
• Proficiency in English
• Excellent

Minimum Experience
• General Experience (in years): 2
• Expertise experience (in years): 2

Membership
• Professional Membership: Registered
