Coca-Cola Beverages Africa [CCBA] is the largest African Coca-Cola Bottler, accounting for 40% of all Coca-Cola volumes on the continent. Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda Limited is a subsidiary of CCBA. we are currently seeking to recruit a Microbiologistbased in Kampala.

As a Microbiologist, you will report directly to the Quality Assurance Technologist

Key Purpose Statement
The primary role of the Microbiologist is to perform micro testing and analysis of all the key aspects of the process chain by following KORE and local legislation requirements to ensure that the finished product is free from organic contamination and is safe to consume.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Micro testing and analysis as per the process sampling plan
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of Microbiology Laboratory equipment.
• Preparation and standardization of microbiology culture media and Laboratory reagents.
• Reporting equipment status to the QAT
• Comply with quality systems, standards, and practices.
• Comply with all EOSH and risk standards.
• Interpret and apply GLP and GMP requirements in the laboratory.
• Comply with the requirements of the QMS, policies, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Deliver micro-related training workshops to build capability in production.
• Communicate professionally.
• Proactively encourage participation, problem-solving, and idea sharing in team meetings and daily interactions to continuously entrench thinking and application of WCM principles.
• Develop self-awareness.

Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications
• Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology, Food processing technology, Biology, or any other related field

Experience
• 3 years of technical experience in an FMCG environment
