INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR THE SALE OF MOTOR VEHICLES
The World Bank Group in Uganda intends to sell the vehicles listed below to any interested bidder. The vehicles are sold on an “as is, where is” basis and, the World Bank will have no further liability after sale. The vehicle is tax exempt at purchase; therefore, the purchaser will be liable to pay taxes.
The World Bank now invites sealed bids for the purchase of the 3 vehicles listed below:

• Make: Toyota Land Cruiser Year Of Manufacture: 2015 Color: White Cubic Capacity: 4481 Registration Plate: CD9823U Chassis No: JTMHVJ504174543
Interested bidders may inspect the vehicles from the World Bank Office located at Plot 1, Lumumba Avenue, Rwenzon House, Kampala from Tuesday, June 4, 2024, to Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon.
The sealed bid application document should clearly state the vehicle for which the bid is submitted and, the bid price must be in Uganda Shillings
The payment method will be by cash deposit or bank transfer to the bank details shared with the successful bidders. The best evaluated bid shall be the highest priced bid and shall be recommended for award of contract, provided the offer is not below the official valuation or reserve price.
Bids clearly marked “Sale of Motor Vehicle must be delivered by hand to the address below on or before Friday, June 7, 2024, before 3:00pm. Late bids shall be rejected. All bids must be valid until June 30 and must be accompanied by a bid security in form of a bank draft in the amount of UGX 1,000,000 (Uganda Shillings One Million only).
The bid security may be forfeited it
(a) The successful bidder withdraws bid before the bid validity period expires:
(b) the successful bidder fails to pay the offered amount within the specified period
