HSE Superintendent
On behalf of a major operator, WRS are looking for a HSE Superintendent to work in Uganda on a contract, rotational basis. This will be an 18 months contract (with potential for extension), on a 28/28 rotation, paying a day rate in USD.
Job Duties include:
• Supervise and monitor Company/Contractors/Subcontractors in all HSE activities in order to ascertain that the plant will be built as per drawings, specifications, procedures, cost and schedule.
• Demonstrate personal commitment to the HSE Policy, maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company HSE standards, actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes.
• Attend Company/Contractors/Subcontractors progress meetings and any other meetings as required
• Liaise with contractors’ HSE personnel and project team
• Provide support, innovative advice, resources, and processes to all SITE teams.
• Review and comment on contractor documentation, method statements and risk assessments, etc.
• Coach and monitor Company, contractors, and subcontractors’ personnel to ensure the required standards are met.
Ideal candidate will have:
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry including previous experience in HSE Supervisory role.
• Membership of an appropriate professional body.
• Experience in large onshore/offshore oil and gas construction projects.
• Experience in incident investigation.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental legislation
• Previous experience working for an operator
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Experience working with international contractors
