Job Summary
The Head of Operations will be a key leadership position responsible for ensuring that ZIADA operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Position Holder will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the company’s operational efficiency. The Head of Operations will oversee efficient procurement processes, robust IT infrastructure, and effective administration, enabling ZIADA to achieve its mission and strategic goals.

Key Responsibility Area:
Operational Strategy and Management
• Managing the day-to-day operational activities of the business and ensuring all teams are aligning with the operational policies of the company.
• Oversee all ZIADA operations in line with the established standard procedures and guidelines.
• Develop and implement integrated operational policies and guidelines aligned with the company strategy.

Business Development
• Develop & implement marketing strategies that will strengthen the institutions brand and maximize profitability.
• Provides feedback on effectiveness of specific marketing programs.
• Expand company´s market share and growth according to the plans laid out in the strategic plan.
• Monitor and assess customer service levels at branch level ensuring appropriate feedback is channeled into product development/enhancement and improved service delivery.

Loan Portfolio and Risk Management
• Monitor the credit portfolio performance on a weekly basis, and follow up on department supervisors.
• Support with the development and implementation of a risk management framework.
• Oversee the performance of the loan portfolio, including loan disbursement, collection, and default management, and report to the senior management team.

Budgeting and Budget Control
• Possesses knowledge of the institutions budget, procedures & guidelines.
• Ensure systems of financial control & management are in place, revised and adherer to, and that all financial targets are met.
• Monitor performance of portfolio in terms of collections versus receivables and payables.
• Ensure that adequate control guidelines are in place to protection the assets & resources of the company.

Human Capital Management
• Foster a culture of teamwork and professionalism within the company.
• Overseeing the recruitment and hiring of staff.
• Set operational performance objectives and targets for the employees in line with the strategic plan.
• Managing and ensuring all teams are meeting their daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly targets.

Compliance
• Collaborate with department heads and teams to assess existing processes and practices for compliance.
• Evaluate current company processes, policies, and procedures to identify areas that require compliance improvements.
• Develop and implement effective processes and standards to enhance compliance and efficient operations.

Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, Microfinance, or related disciplines;
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role at a reputable organization;
• Track record as a diligent worker with strong references supporting past performance in this role;
• Proven ability to produce professional work quickly and independently;
• Strong computer, analytical skills and strategic planning abilities.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching.

• Impeccable attention to detail, excellent organizational, planning, prioritizing, and time management skills.
• Must not be aged above 35 years.
• Required/desired language: English and knowledge of Langi or Acholi.
