Job Description:
We are looking for a phenomenal future-looking Data Scientist with exceptional qualities to join our growing Edtech Startup. The ideal candidate will possess a forward-thinking mindset, innovation-driven approach, and a strong passion for leveraging data analytics to shape the future of education technology.
In addition to great proficiency in Power BI, they should be adept at creating advanced visualizations that provide valuable insights and be skilled in developing dynamic dashboards that empower data-driven decision-making within our dynamic and fast-growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with various teams to understand their data needs and deliver customized solutions.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Transform raw data into meaningful visualizations and stories that drive business decisions.
• Continuously improve and enhance existing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Assist in training and upskilling team members on Power BI and data visualization best practices.
Requirements:
• Demonstrated practical experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI with hands-on experience in creating complex visualizations and interactive dashboards.
• Solid understanding of data analysis and visualization techniques.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and experience with data manipulation and extraction.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for data storage and processing.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to communicate complex data findings in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
• Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest trends in data science and visualization.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
• Previous experience in a data-driven role, internship, or project work related to data science.
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and frameworks.
• Experience in data preprocessing and data cleaning techniques.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
