We are seeking to recruit a user-oriented Digital Solutions Implementation Coordinator to support our digitization journey through coordinating and supporting in developing digital solutions that grow our program.
About the Role
Reporting to the Digital Product Manager, the Digital Solutions Implementation Coordinator will support in coordinating activities for multiple product pilots within the organization. The role requires excellent communication skills, good report writing experience, and the ability to handle working on multiple agile projects. The holder of this role will support the development, rollout, and adoption of digital solutions for last-mile users, ensuring that the products meet user needs and contribute to the success of Village Enterprise’s poverty graduation program. The position will be based in Uganda, Kenya, or Rwanda, depending on the location of the successful candidate.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Support the Digital Product Manager in driving product strategies and vision to build best-in-class digital solutions for last-mile microentrepreneurs in Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Maintain comprehensive and updated documentation, plans, and reports for all digital solutions initiatives within Village Enterprise
• Support the evaluation, analysis, and understanding of user needs through a variety of data sources.
• Coordinate with external providers to implement the best-fit solutions for Village Enterprise’s entrepreneurs
• Support user research, usability studies, and use cases for digital solutions, collaborating with the product and service team at Village Enterprise as well as external providers.
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to identify key capabilities needed as well as identifying potential issues in the adoption, use, and scaling of digital solutions.
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to ensure digital solutions are implemented effectively and are up-to-date with program iterations and priorities as well
• Identify and build key capabilities and relationships within other cross-functional teams so mitigate potential issues in the adoption, use, and scaling of digital solutions in a timely manner.
• Support other staff in the Technology Solutions team to manage the delivery, capacity building, and integration of digital solutions.
Safeguarding:
• “Safeguarding at VE is everyone’s responsibility”
• Monitor the content being stored on VE digital equipment to ensure no sexually inappropriate material is being shown to staff or program participants.
• Ensure compliance with VE’s safeguarding policies and Code of Conduct in all programs, operations, and practices.
• Report any incident of child or adult safeguarding in program operations for appropriate action and follow-up.
Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in coordinating or managing digital products in an agile, multi-cultural environment.
• Experience in planning, prioritization, research, and implementation of digital products with impact among remote rural populations.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in usability and human-centered design approaches.
• Passionate about building great digital solutions and solving user problems, particularly in the areas of capacity development and access to market and services information.
• Experience working with end users and delivering digital solutions for last-mile populations with limited access to infrastructure and limited literacy levels
