CALL FOR CONSULTANTS
The purpose of the Feed the Future Uganda Strategic Investments Activity (SIA) is to facilitate foreign and domestic commercial investments that advance development objectives. The Activity will mobilize financing for investments in agriculture and food security, the productive use of energy for agriculture and related industries, and health, utilizing different forms of capital including financing from, but not limited to, local and international equity investors, entrepreneurs, pension funds, banks, impact funds, endowments, insurance firms, high-net-worth individuals, African and Ugandan diaspora, and development finance institutions. Through supporting development-oriented investments, the Activity will integrate underrepresented populations into the market economy and facilitate the transition from subsistence to commercial production.
The Activity’s three key objectives are:
• Increased commercial financing in agriculture and related sectors.
• Improved policies, laws and regulations regarding commercial investments.
• Increased productive use of energy in agriculture and related sectors.
In achieving its objectives, SIA seeks to mobilize $140 million in additional private capital in agriculture and productive use of energy while improving the livelihoods of 100,000 underrepresented people.

Required Qualifications
An advanced degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. Professional certifications like ACCA, CPA, CIPS, and any other relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
• At least 7 years of relevant technical experience in access to finance for SMEs and related fields.
• Financial Analysis: Strong analytical skills to assess financial statements, and projections, and evaluate the financial health of a business or project
• Business Planning: Ability to assist clients in developing comprehensive business plans, including market analysis, competitive positioning, and financial forecasts.
• •Investment Knowledge: In-depth understanding of various types of investments, funding sources, and investment criteria to match clients with suitable investors.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex information, proposals, and business plans to the different SIA stakeholders.
• Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate terms and conditions with investors on behalf of clients.
• Project Management: Effective project management skills to coordinate and oversee the various aspects of preparing a business for investment.
