Job purpose.
Develop and execute targeted B2B sales strategies tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities within the manufacturing sector with a Focus on sales expansion, market penetration Identify, evaluate, and prioritize business development opportunities, designing partnership structures, managing risks, and maximizing sales potential. Identify competitive threats and propose appropriate actions to safeguard partnerships and the company’s market position.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Develop a robust pipeline of B2B engagements by conducting thorough research and analysis to identify new sales opportunities, partners, markets, influencers, and facilitators
• Product knowledge & development: Leverage in-depth knowledge of the plastics manufacturing sector to understand client needs and market dynamics. Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in customer preferences
• Client Relationship Management; Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the similar industry. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to set competitive pricing strategies
• Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
• Provide coaching and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
• Contract & pricing negotiations: Lead negotiations with clients on pricing, terms, and contract agreements. Contract negotiations. Draft and negotiate contract terms and non-disclosure agreements with relevant partners.
• Manage all commercial partnerships through effective communication and being the main contact person.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and potential clients.
Team Development
• Recruit, onboard, and manage Business Development Associates
• Establish clear operational structures within the department, defining roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities for all team members.
• Support and develop capacities within the sales team and provide necessary support, tools to the team.
• Develop departmental budgets and ensure adherence to allocated resources.
• Set departmental KPIs, ensuring team alignment and ownership with progress updates provided on a weekly basis
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 4 years of B2B sales experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on plastics.
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets preferable in same industry.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Strong negotiation skills, particularly in contract management within the plastics sector.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends specific to the manufacturing industry
