JOB DETAILS:
Qualifications & Experience:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in information technology/computer science or related field.
2. Knowledge and experience in software development in programming languages and technologies such as Java, JavaScript, REST API etc.
3. Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Offer support and technical assistance to UCU staff and students using Alpha MIS.
2. Respond to queries via chat, email, or phone concerning Alpha MIS.
3. Maintain a log for the day’s raised issues and steps taken after the issue has been reported.
4. Train staff and students on using Alpha MIS.
5. Follow up user queries with the Alpha MIS in consultation with MIS Admin to resolution.
6. Alpha MIS testing and diagnosis of system errors and other issues.
7. Requesting feedback and/or monitoring calls and other methods of correspondence to improve training methods and system usage.
8. Running reports to analyze common complaints and problems and to determine malfunctions that continue to occur within the Alpha MIS.
9. Installing the Alpha MIS desktop application and Android/iOS Apps for staff and students.
10. Entering data in the Alpha MIS as directed by the MIS Admin and or MIS Data Admin.
11. Perform any other responsibility as may be assigned by Head of Systems/Technical Manager/Director of UIS/Supervisor related to Alpha MIS or not from time to time.
