<p id=”_description9″ =”description”><strong><span style=”font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;”>JOB DETAILS: </span></strong><span style=”font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;”> <br> <strong>Job Summary</strong> <br>The incumbent will work with MoH, districts, local authorities including emergency operation centres to provide TA to districts and regional EOCs to strengthen surveillance systems. She/he will provide support for advanced data analysis and interpretation to inform effective programme design/ interventions. S/he will be responsible for leading/supporting the development of priority implementation, analyses and dissemination of results. The incumbent will support development, piloting and strengthening surveillance initiatives with a focus on event based surveillance. He/she will ensure that all reported signals are completed on a timely manner while supporting REOCs, districts, cities to ensure that all reported signals are managed to conclusion on a timely manner. S/he will also ensure that the learning from implementation and quality improvement science is incorporated into the programme design. She/he will support dissemination of data through REOC epidemiological bulletins. <br> <br><strong>Overall Responsibilities </strong><br><strong>Event and indicator based-surveillance implementation at the regional EOC.</strong> <br>• Conduct routine surveillance using digital and other non-traditional surveillance platforms to detect signals of unusual or unexpected events <br>• Support the districts in the verification of signals <br>• Support the districts in outbreak investigation and response activities <br>• Ensure that all signals and events are registered and logged in signals/events registers including the event management system <br>• Support districts in improvements in indicator and event-based surveillance including completeness and timeliness. <br>• Monitoring EBS cascade for all events in the districts in the region and support districts to conduct timely signal verification <br> <br><strong>Communication and knowledge management</strong> <br>• Support the development and implementation of epidemic intelligence products, such as daily EBS reports, situation reports, maps, dashboards, and other data visualizations <br>• Support the development and dissemination of regional epidemiological bulletins <br>• Share routine advisory on EBS outbreak and response <br>• Facilitate EBS learning and community of practice for the regional EBS team <br>• Participate in organizing for performance review meetings <br> <br><strong>Early action reviews</strong> <br>• Support districts to conduct timely early action reviews for all events <br>• Timely update and sharing of the 7-1-7 matrix for all events reported from the region <br> <br><strong>Data Management and Analysis</strong> <br>• Strengthen data management and use at EOC <br>• Support districts in strengthening data management and use <br>• Development of regional EOC dashboards <br>• Appropriate data management using appropriate software(s) <br>• Support districts in strengthening data use and preparation and dissemination of epidemiological bulletings. <br> <br><strong>Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:</strong> <br>• Master of Public Health with an emphasis in Epidemiology or Biostatistics from a recognized institution. <br>• Training in Field Epidemiology is an added advantage. <br>• At least two years of full-time experience as an epidemiologist/field Epidemiologist or data analyst in a reputable organization <br>• 2 Years Relevant Experience <br> <span =”responsibilities” content=”Overall Responsibilities
