JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary
• The job holder will be a member of the ARO Information Risk Management Team responsible for implementing the information risk programme into their specific country.
• The primary function of the role is to ensure information is protected effectively and consistently with its criticality. Ensuring that Audit, Regulatory and Governance requirements are realised globally.
• Lead Information Security Governance, Information Risk Management and ISO 27001 implementation for Absa Uganda
• Champions the cause of Information Risk/Security, including Data Privacy, Records Management, Physical Security, Disaster Recovery Planning (IT System), Logical Access Management, Projects, Security awareness, Data Protection etc.
• Promote Absa Bank of Uganda as a secure organisation to do business with, embedding Information Risk Management in to the local culture.
• Develop plans, goals, objectives, and other project management aids for the implementation and maintenance of best practices and frameworks such as ISO 27001 and COBIT across country sites.
• Ensure Absa Bank of Uganda, Country information (including patents, intellectual property, and customer information) is protected effectively.
• Provide clear picture to Leadership on state of IRM risks and controls implementation by various reports and dashboards
• Ensure Compliance of Absa Bank Uganda with the Data Protection and Privacy Act,2019.

Job Description
• Risk and Control: Perform quarterly risk and control assessments, front to back for allocated business Treasury Execution: Execute a wide array of product: Interest Rate Swaps, Bonds, Repos and FRNS Stakeholder Management: Maintain professional relationship with stakeholders
• Development of Technical and Product Knowledge: Proactively increase technical skills through active research
• Projects: Execute allocated projects
• Team management: Manage a team

Education
• Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
