JOB DETAILS:
Overview:
URC is searching for an experienced consultant with full-time availability to assist the HQ Finance Department for the voucher review and clearing of the voucher exceptions for some projects in Uganda.
Objectives and tasks:
The purpose of this consultancy is to support URC with the following activities:
• Catch up the review of the vouchers for some Uganda projects.
• Address all the voucher exceptions.
Specific Tasks:
• Review all the project generated vouchers in FMT to identify any potential exceptions.
• Assist in clearing all the outstanding voucher exceptions.
• Propose alternatives to resolve long outstanding voucher issues.
• Coordinate with HQ Field Finance Coordinator and Associate Director Field Finance on additional tasks.
Additional specific tasks under this consultancy will be discussed with the Consultant prior to issue.
Deliverables:
Under this Scope of Work, the consultant will be responsible for the following deliverables:
• Updated and current the voucher review as of September 2023.
• Cleared Voucher exception Report as of September 2023.
• Provide daily updates on the progress of the assignment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
URC is looking for an experienced professional with previous experience working either with the US Government funded programs, in an audit firm, as an internal auditor or an accountant.
• Knowledge and experience working with USAID and other major donors preferred.
• Familiarity with compliance to Federal Acquisitions Regulations.
• Strong communication skills.
Qualifications:
Required Experience and Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in accounting, business or finance or a related field or its equivalent.
• Excellent writing skills and familiarity with vouchers
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple, simultaneous tasks; strong attention to details; ability to work under pressure and tight time deadlines.
