The Recycling Machine Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting recycling machinery to process recyclable plastic materials. The operator will ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality recycling operations while adhering to company standards and safety protocols.
Job Requirement
Manufacturing facility experience preferred, mechanically inclined, manual dexterity, good hand/eye coordination, Positive attitude, high energy, flexibility, and personal initiative, inquisitiveness and ability to implement improvements to processes and policies, Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor, working extended periods standing, Ability to lift heavy stuff more frequently
Responsibilities;
• Set up, operate, and monitor recycling equipment, including shredders, and extrusion machines.
• Able to identify material types and inspect and verify the quality of recycled materials throughout the process to meet company and industry standards.
• Adhere to safety protocols, conduct pre-operation checks, and ensure that the machinery and work area are safe and clean.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
• Sort, load, and feed recyclable materials into machinery while ensuring correct material types and quantities are processed.
• Maintain accurate production logs, record material usage, and submit daily reports on production metrics.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for improving operational efficiency, reducing waste, and optimizing production output.
Qualifications and Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in machinery operation preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or recycling environment, preferably with plastic recycling equipment.
• Familiarity with recycling machinery and plastic material types; ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy materials as needed; good hand-eye coordination and ease to work with hands
• You will be the team leader in the way operating system, and your team will be given by the Director.
• Conduct the 8-minute team meeting and also attend the MDT2 daily meetings to report what is happening in your section and also be part of the organization’s performance planning.
