JOB ADVERT SENIOR SOLAR ENGINEER(1)
Location: Kampala, Uganda
Job Type: Full-Time
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• System Design and Engineering: Design and develop solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine the best solar solutions for clients.
• Project Management: Oversee the installation and commissioning of solar systems, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for in- stalled solar systems. Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure optimal system perfor mance.
• Sales Support: Assist the sales team with technical expertise during custom- er consultations and sales pitches. Prepare technical proposals and presen- tations for potential clients.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and regulations. Conduct quality checks and inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Training and Development: Train and mentor junior engineers and techni- cians on solar technologies and best practices. Stay updated on the latest ad- vancements in solar technology and industry trends
• Credit Sales Management: Work with the finance team to develop and manage credit sales programs. Assess customer creditworthiness and moni- tor payment schedules to minimize defaults.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in solar engineering, with a focus on project management and system design.
SKILLS
Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems and components. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
