OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
To provide overall direction and management of technical and Laboratory administrative and support functions at C-lab to fulfill organizational objectives, achieve specific goals and maximize profit and efficiency in the day today direction and management of the C lab technical team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and Qualifications
• The post holder must be registered as a medical technologist (In the relevant discipline where he/she is practicing with allied Health professions council of Uganda.
• Certification in good clinical laboratory practice (GCLP) and basic health and safety as well as management training are desirable additional trainings requirements
• The postholder should preferably have at least 8- 10 years of working experience, including 4 to 5 years supervisory experience, in a relevant pathology laboratory environment.

Technical competencies
• High level of analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Detail Orientated.
• Proficient in developing and implementing quality assurance programs, policies, and procedures.
• Experience in monitoring and evaluating laboratory performance metrics and implementing performance improvement initiatives.
• Inspires and drives excellence in all aspects of work.
• Maintains confidentiality and integrity.
• Knowledge of laboratory operations, equipment, and techniques related to medical diagnostics.
• Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other relevant software applications.
• Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and validation procedures.
• Understanding of laboratory safety protocols and adherence to good laboratory practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate and coordinate with laboratory staff, management, and external stakeholders.
• Leadership qualities to drive and promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Highly organized and flexible.
