Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding a Diploma in Meteorology or Diploma in Agro-meteorology from a recognized University/Institution
Working Experience
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Meteorological Officer (Weather Forecasting) for performing the following duties:-
– Monitoring and recording meteorological data, including temperature, humidity, wind speed, and atmospheric pressure;
– Compiling accurate and timely data following established protocols;
– Preparing and submitting regular weather reports based on collected data;
– Communicating observations to senior staff and contribute to weather forecasting efforts;
– Operating and maintaining meteorological instruments and equipment;
– Facilitating routine checks and calibration of observation tools;
– Maintaining accurate records of weather data and equipment maintenance;
– Documenting any anomalies or issues encountered during data collection;
– Providing technical guidance on weather data analysis and forecasting;
– Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
